2012 - 2013 Growing Diary
This is a story of a 3 Years old boy who suffer from Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) Type II.
Nobody realized his condition when he is born until the age of one, his parent found out that he have difficulties in walking or standing straight. This matter have alerted his parent and immediately brought him to the hospital for a medical check-up & DNA Testing.
On November 2011, DNA Testing results have shown that this young boy had a missing gene called SMN 1 Axon 7-8 and the doctor confirmed that this boy is suffering from SMA Type II. His parent were very shocked to hear. Because of parental loving & caring, his parent have been travel around the world to seek for a best and the safest solutions to improve his lifestyle because of this disease. In the meantime, his parent also provide him with suitable physiotherapy & exercises.
On 19th to 20th of September 2012, his parent have found out a treatment that might help to improve his lifestyle that is an Embryonic Stem Cell transplantation located at Russia Ukraine. The Chief complaint is the suffering from Spinal Muscular Atrophy and cause muscles fail to develop normally which result in muscle weakness.
During first day of treatment, Dr Alexander Smikodub Jr. of Ukraine Embryonic Stem Cell Centre transplant 1.8 ml of Embryonic Stem Cell Suspension at the abdominal wall of this young boy. On the next day, subcutaneous implantation 1.8ml of Embryonic Stem Cell suspension at the frontal part of abdominal wall.
The Donor’s stem cell suspension sample (OM-958) has pass through extremely strict screening and checking procedure.
After 8 months of treatment, this young boy have improvements in:
1. Muscles are growing – he could walk with the support of his both arm, standing, kneeling and squatting by himself.
Doctor Advice:
1. Swimming for once a week
2. Daily physical massage
3. Regular injection of complex growth factor protein nutrition
On the 25-26 of September, this young boy again visit Ukraine for second treatment
The first day of treatment with 1.8ml intravenous drip-feed transplantation of Embryonic Stem Cell suspension.
Second Day treatment with 1.8ml subcutaneous implantation of embryonic stem cell suspension at the frontal abdominal wall.
The Donor’s stem cell suspension sample (T-239-107, T-239-207) has pass through extremely strict screening and checking procedure.β

The medical team of Ukraine Stem Cell Centre and all staffs of Malaysia in Asian region love this cute and lovely young boy. We all are willing to do our best to help him and to ensure him to have a better lifestyle and healthy.
